Huguenot
Park is operated by the city of Jacksonville.
It is located on the North bank of the St. Johns River
along the jetty. You get to the park by taking Heckscher
Dr. (A1A) north from ferry or South from Fernandina
or Amelia Island. The ferry is about a mile from the
park entrance. From downtown take I95 North to the Heckscher
Dr. exit. From the airport Take I95 south to 9A, and
then to the Heckscher Dr exit. Turn left from there.
The park is about 20 minutes away. The trip from Fernandina
takes you through some of the most unspoiled coastal
marshland areas in the state. The drive from town will
take you along the St. Johns River and through the quiet
town of Ft. George. You will pass several restaurants,
the ferry and the local surf shop.
The
park entrance fee is currently fifty cents per person.
A small snack shop and outdoor showers are available
for all people visiting the park. Warm indoor showers
are available for campers. Camping at the park is some
of the least expensive around and a dump station is
provided for visitors with Rvs. When you arrive at the
park pick up a guide flyer. It has a map, pricing and
park rules. You can find more information at The
City of Jacksonville Web site or call the
park at (904) 251-3335.
Kitesurfing
in Huguenot Park is a privilege. Please check out the
guidelines page of our web site. All students will be
required to sign a hard copy when they arrive for their
lesson.
