Jacksonville and other North East Florida communities have some of the best beaches and water access in the state. Wide, white sand beaches, beautiful inlets and the St Johns River provide great kitesurfing, surfing, kayaking and fishing. Because so much of our community’s focus is on the water many long-standing area business cater to people enjoying an aquatic lifestyle. Visitors to our area will have no problem finding top-notch service, entertainment or lodging. After a long day at the beach nothing is better than a good meal and a comfortable room. And, when you are ready to jump back into the water some of the best shops are they’re to outfit you with the latest gear and surf wear. Don’t forget those sunglasses, hats and sunscreen! KITESHOPS
OCEAN EXTREME SPORTS Well, there is only one, but it’s the best one on the east coast! For any gear or products related to kitesurfing contact Extreme Kites in St. Augustine. If they don’t have it you probably don’t need it! Daryl, Kristen and the rest of the crew are dedicated to providing the best inventory, the newest gear and accessories. FT. GEORGE ISLAND SURF SHOP Looking for a new wetsuit or a flashy pair of baggies? Check out the selection at Ft. George Island Surf shop. Less than a mile from Huguenot Park they are the closest surf shop to where we train. The friendly service of this small, family owned shop will make you feel at home. AQUA EAST Across the river in Neptune Beach you will find the area's largest surf shop. From backpacks to surfboards, sunglasses to Flip-flops these guys have it. Find them here or call (904) 246-2550.

RESTAURANTS
NICOLE'S Hungry? Nicole’s is the place to be for breakfast or lunch. Stop in for the most important meal of the day. The relaxed, friendly service is a great way to start your kitesurfing adventure. They are located just a few blocks west of the ferry parking lot at 9429 Heckscher Drive. Visit their Yahoo! profile page.
THE SAND DOLLAR Feel like a brewski after a hard day flying kites? The Sand Dollar Restaurant is located right next to The Ferry. Enjoy deck dinning on the water and sometimes a live band.
